We'd like to welcome you to our Paso Robles winery.  Martin & Weyrich Winery specializes in Italian varietals and are proud to be the first grower and producer of Nebbiolo in the United States in recent history.  Martin & Weyrich Winery now presents this world-class varietal in two versions:

• Nebbiolo, known for its spiciness and agreeable tannins

• Nebbiolo Vecchio, a reserve Nebbiolo, the vineyard’s finest, 
  aged for more than two years in French oak barrels 

The Martin & Weyrich estate has 17 acres of Nebbiolo in production and another 27 in various stages of development – the largest plantation of this grape in the U.S. The winery was also the first U.S. producer of a “Super-Tuscan” blend. This blend is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Sangiovese.  The wine, aptly named Cabernet Etrusco, has consistently been met with rave reviews. The estate has planted six clones of Sangiovese, and they produce a wine called “Il Palio,” which is recognized as one of the most intense Sangioveses produced in California. Other Italian varietals produced at Martin & Weyrich’s include: Malvasia Bianca, Muscat Canelli, Pinto Grigio, Barbera, and Dolcetto.
